I found out that Germany did use the rules we used, so I don't know why the write up I read said different.

One thing I want to know, or if someone can tell me who I should contact?

At the german qualifiers they allowed dirty laps to count. The allowed any source of cutting the track you could get away with. Many people were up in arms over it but they allowed it anyway.

Quite frankly, it's bullshit. Take Sebring for example, theres a section in the last part of the track where you cut the chicanes 4 corners in a row. If you watch their replays from the German qual's, they aren't even on the track for up to 10 seconds at a time.

Just wondering if they're going to allow this at WCG, because its making a huge difference on what I should be practicing or not :S The amount of cutting is worth up to 4 seconds on some tracks per lap, so you can imagine it's not a little thing that I can just blow off.

I think these are exactly the same as the KeSPA version (used in professional Korean leagues) with some anti-hack stuff for iCCup. KeSPA site gives me a malware warning so may or may not be safe to download off there.

Hi guys,

Rules have been posted for Trackmania on the tournament sign up page under the rules button.

Catfish has kindly made me a video showing a couple of known specific issues with the mymates track that are illegal, but can shave time off your lap as an example.

These are not the only illegal shortcuts, but are examples of obvious ones that are disallowed or taking advantage of the game engine and it's positioning after resetting yourself on the track.

If you have any questions regarding track shortcuts, please post them here rather than assuming they are okay.

This, don't let what happened last year repeat. Teams asking if there was a playoff for 3rd / 4th and were told no, so stayed up late mucking around etc to be told at 1am that they'd be playing for 3rd / 4th at 10am.
